Grant's first solo album, Yorktown Heights was released on 11th August 2015 through Popping Candy records.
Yorktown Heights was produced, written and played by Grant in his North London Treehouse Studio, The Crypt in London and Angelic Studios in Banbury. With assisted production from Sam Miller and Brian Sperber (Julian Casablancas, Dinosaur Jr) at his Tiny Pocket Studio in Yorktown Heights, upstate New York.
Grant describes the album: "…I felt it was time to bare my soul and let people hear my songs in a more acoustic way. I grew up listening to a lot of acoustic based artists from the 60’s and 70’s and I really wanted to make an album that touched on what I loved about the honesty and warmth of those records."
Made up of 13 tracks (with the Deluxe version being 15 tracks), the album is a beautifully crafted, insightful set of tracks that underline Nicholas’s deft songwriting abilities.
